Rift Zone

9. 11. 2022 — 11. 2. 2023

Gallery 3
Artists: Lloyd Dunn ( nula.cc )
Curators: Adéla Machová & Jan Krtička

Gallery 3 is closed during of the installation of new exhibitions in the Ústí nad Labem House of Arts from 20/11 to 06/12 2022. Link to the bandcamp release HERE = RIFT ZONE!

Rift zone can be understood as a cryptic fugue of generated and recorded sounds intended to represent a cross section of the earth’s energies and capture a perceivable subset of them. It is an attempt to describe in sonic terms an under-the-surface exploration of the characteristics of the mythic elements of earth, air, fire, and water in the context of palpating the earth as a dynamic integrated system.
In his work, Lloyd Dunn (1957, Iowa) develops the possibilities of technology for creative statement using multimedia forms of expression. There is a human perception of art being examined by the artist through various stimuli and experience identification.

This gallery space creates a specific environment for the presentation of artists working with sound and spatial perception. The presentation here defines a sound point prepared by the author — a place where you can listen, deeply concentrate, share or resonate.
