FASHIONTALK

Festival DESIGN ÚSTÍ

25. 3. 2026

18:00

Presentation of authors

FASHIONTALK is a public format that gives space to distinctive personalities of contemporary textile creation across production, design and social overlap. In four fifteen-minute entries, representatives of companies and the independent scene will present themselves, showing that textiles today are not only a question of aesthetics, but also of technology, responsibility and regional identity.
Martin Veselík from the Schindler's Knitting Factory, which continues the more than 170-year tradition of knitting and develops it in the current international context, will be present. Šimon Jiráček will present the transformation of TIMO into a modern manufacturing hub of European importance. Designer Karolína Juříková will present her practice between local sustainability, international experience and the Overall Office brand. Kateřina Jungová will present the Metráž design project, in which design becomes a tool for social cooperation and responsible production.

FASHIONTALK is not a debate, but a concentrated series of author presentations. It offers the audience the opportunity to look into four different approaches to textiles in one hour. From industrial continuity to strategic brand development to experimental and socially oriented fashion practice.

The format is open to the public and creates a space for inspiration, sharing experiences and new professional connections across the region.
