Following on from the main exhibition in Gallery 1, Gallery 2 will host a thematic educational exhibition for the first time in 2026, focusing on the educational and awareness-raising aspects of the fashion and textile industry in a regional context. The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to learn about the history and present of textile production in the Ústí nad Labem Region and to better understand its social, technological, and material contexts.

The exhibition is designed as an interactive platform and will be divided into two basic thematic levels. The first is dedicated to the history of the textile industry in the region – it will present the tradition of local factories, their importance for the development of the region, and changes in production technologies. Through archival materials, photographs, documents, and historical exhibits, it maps the development of textile production from its beginnings to the present.

The second part of the exhibition is a material archive of textiles, which allows visitors to come into direct contact with various types of fabrics. The exhibition works with the haptic experience and offers a basic orientation in materials, their properties, production processes, and possibilities for use in contemporary sustainable design.
