UJEP Open Day - Guided tour of the exhibition Shared Existence with the curator

Petra Widžová

12. 2. 2026

As part of the UJEP Open Day, the House of Art Ústí nad Labem will host a guided tour of the exhibition Shared Existence with curator Petra Widžová.

Guided tour will be in czech.

About the exhibition:
The exhibition Shared Existences turns to art as a way of seeking new interpersonal connections, knowledge and understanding through artworks that build on shared experience or collective practice. Under what conditions can art be a tool for improving interpersonal relationships, informal education, exploration of the common, or a catalyst for change?

The exhibition presents newly created works of art, the results of artistic research projects by Czech and foreign women artists and also recalls the realisations that have already taken place. These show different forms of collective, socially engaged art and its possibilities and limits. The focus is on cooperation with local collectives and on urgent social issues resonating in the context of Central Europe. These are examined through different perspectives that can become the key to transcending one's own individuality, knowledge and a deeper experience of the world around us.
