Nives Sertić’s practice ranges from long-term interdisciplinary research to poetic installations and performances. A key aspect of her work is the decolonization of the gaze through immersive and contemplative experiences—regardless of scale, context, or medium. From full-body spatial installations to artist books, the chosen medium always emerges from the theme and becomes an integral part of the work’s message.

Although she moves fluidly across media, exploring their borders and points of overlap, photography and film remain her primary fields, often serving as the starting point for new projects. Her recent work focuses on perception and observation of the environments we inhabit—from untouched landscapes to urban (green) spaces.
