Gabriela Kadlecová

13. 11. 2025

10:00 – 16:00

Conference

Artificial intelligence is transforming both art and law. What questions and dilemmas does it bring? And do we already have the answers?

This one-day conference connects artists, theorists, lawyers, and technology experts, opening a space for cross-disciplinary discussion.

The AI – ART – ETHICS – LAW conference brings together artists, lawyers, and technology specialists to explore the relationship between humans and machines, intuition and algorithms, creativity and responsibility.

Conference will be in Czech.

Programme

10:00 – Opening of the Gallery and Multifunctional Hall to the public.

10:30 – AI as a Challenge for Copyright Law / Gabriela Kadlecová.
Artificial intelligence brings new opportunities but also tests the boundaries of law and the values of human creativity. How can we respond to the ethical dilemmas of machine creativity and find a balance between technological progress and the protection of authorship?

11:00 – Principles and Functioning of Large Language Models / Jiří Spilka (Apify).
A technical insight into the principles behind training and operation of large language models – how they generate responses, why they sometimes behave unpredictably, and what trends shape the future of AI.

11:30 – The Liminality of Generative Creation: The Artistic Process Between Intuition and Algorithm / David Kořínek.
How does the artistic process change when AI enters it not as a tool but as a partner in dialogue? The presentation explores creation as a form of “extended thinking,” where human intuition and algorithmic operation intertwine.

12:00 – I, the Machine, and the Image / Jiří Philippe Janda.
A perspective of a visual artist working with AI as a creative partner. How does the role of the author evolve when creation becomes a dialogue between human and machine, giving rise to an aesthetics of chance, loss of control, and shared intuition?

13:00 – Art in the Context of the Rise of Artificial Intelligence / Kateřina Dytrtová.
The talk focuses on the new challenges that the rise of artificial intelligence brings to the art world. It opens questions of authorship, intentionality, and the changing meaning of the artwork itself. It will also introduce recent exhibition projects exploring the relationship between art and AI.

13:30 – AI and the Human in Art. Boundaries and Dialogues / Gabriela Kadlecová, Jiří Philippe Janda
A moderated discussion accompanied by a presentation of student projects that use artificial intelligence.
