In the exhibition, Studio Monsters works in a distinctive way with textual statements, quotations and seemingly simple truisms, which, however, acquire new layers of meaning in their interpretation. Their work is in dialogue with conceptual artists who work with text as a means of expression in their work, but with a shift, not choosing universal themes but focusing on issues that resonate in their immediate surroundings and community. In their graphic design work we find a tension between formal purity and content provocation, where typographically precise statements confront the viewer with their own assumptions and social conventions. Studio Monsters sees text not only as a carrier of information, but as a visual element with its own aesthetic value, offering a moment of pause and reflection in the context of a contemporary visual culture oversaturated with images. The installation thus represents an interesting intersection between commercial graphic design and conceptual art, where the line between the two disciplines is deliberately blurred.
