Mona Vatamanu & Florin Tudor – This Is Not About Sugar
29/3 – 19/5 2018
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.
Ludwig Wittgenstein
The exhibition will present the works of Mona Vataman and Florin Tudor, who have been collaborating since 2000. The Romanian authorship couple use different expression strategies and explore the symbols of collective rebellion and social solidarity that connect the past and the present with the future. Their art projects migrate through various revolutionary movements and geopolitical topographies as well as historical contexts towards finding a better and fairer world. Mona Vatamanu and Florin Tudor have independently presented themselves in the Neue Gallery in Innsbruck, Kunsthalle in Lisbon, Frankfurter Kunstverein or Secession Vienna in recent years.
